Our mission
Enriching Community through Culture and Value
Tamil Sangam of Hampton Roads is a registered non-profit,tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. We aim to connect the Tamil people in and around Hampton Roads of Virginia. The purpose of Tamil Sangam is to promote Culture, Art. Literature and Tamil Language. TSHR is not a religious organization. It is an association for any Tamil people beyond race, caste, and religion. Our motto is “Unity in Diversity”.

Tholkappiyar Tamil School
Tholkappiyar Tamil School is accredited with WASC, named in honor of the renowned Tamil scholar who lived 2000 years ago, offers a vibrant cultural learning environment. Affiliated with Hampton Roads Tamil Sangam and led by Principal Dr. Ganesan, our school began in 2018 with a single class and has grown to accommodate 40 students across five different levels.
